Mark Caguioa did his damage early while Joseph Yeo came on to carry the team late as Barangay Ginebra San Miguel cruised to another lopsided victory in the PBA Philippine Cup, this time over Barako Bull, 94-75. In an encore to his terrific performance in ‘Manila Clasico’ last Sunday, Yeo starred once again with 17 points, including 5/8 shooting performance from beyond the arc. He hit four of those three-pointers in a crucial fourth quarter run that put the game away for the Kings. He also had 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Caguioa, meanwhile, showed off not just his scoring ability but his playmaking as well, finishing with 15 points and a game-high 7 assists as Ginebra improved to 5-1, good for solo second place. Greg Slaughter added 14 points and 8 boards, while frontcourt partner Japeth Aguilar had 10 and 8. Rookie Rodney Brondial gave the team a boost as well, scoring 7 points on 3-for-4 shooting and grabbing eight rebounds of his own. It was Ginebra’s third consecutive win after notching back-to-back victories over Blackwater and Purefoods in their last two assignments. Barako Bull remained winless in five games to start the season. They were paced by Denok Miranda, who tallied 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Line of the Game: Joseph Yeo - 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 triples.
